As Governor of California I would have much more clout than I would as Mayor of LA.
So I Would be sure to have a hand in the LE of California. I for one, would not be cutting pensions and then expect Officers to not hate me.

I would Sit with a panel over the guidelines of training and see where any loopholes may be, anything outdated and that obviously needed change…before it ends up in the news and makes LE look bad.

I would start community projects for youths and put more money into that. I would have after school projects and many of the things that I would have as Mayor.

I would also work more for better bus and public transportation systems for the people and for the environment. I would work towards expanding the systems and making them come along more frequently as well.
I’d make the cleaner, safer, less breakdowns and on time. I’d make the stops better for all weather, shade for sun and better to guard against rain and cold. Many who take these buses are the elderly.

I would make them learn new routes, etc so that they where faster and more trains as well. More programs separate from the main bus for kids and elderly, doctors and hospital visits etc.

I would have the Sheriffs working more on them as I myself rarely ever see them, though I did in the beginning and I would have them on the buses much more often during Friday and Saturday nights especially as well as other times.
I would follow the example of New York more in the way of public transportation.
I would encourage more incentives from companies to pay for public transport for their employee’s, this would also cut down on driven cars, pollution and space for garages and parking.

I would set laws for recycling. I would send out the containers to collect the correct item in each container ( recycling and trash). I would make it mandatory to recycle. I’d give about three warnings when obvious things where in the regular trash then in the recycling and then they would start getting fined. The trash would also be gone through in the landfills as well to a point.

I’d start recycling centers and require that any city employee offices or state employee offices recycled and used only recycled products, to a point.

I’d have requirements that office buildings, such as down town, would be required to recycle as well. ( I worked in a large building and the amount of paper and toner cartridges that we went through for 100 people was outrageous but times that by 63 And you can make a difference).

I would clean up neighborhoods that had once been nice but are now mostly owned by elderly who can’t afford the work and so then the area’s get run down and turn into unsafe places.

I’d work harder for less pollution, less traffic, more recycling and more projects to keep kids off the streets as well as hire more Officers and update regulations and training , better public transportation and cleaner and safer neighborhoods.
